Jim and Alberta, (Bert), met late in life and were married over 20 years before his passing, on October 16, 1994. He was born, January 8 1927, to Willard W. Pierce and Edna M. Pierce Brewster in Platteville, Colorado, the first of nine children. They moved to Michigan when Jim was young, where he grew up. He and Bert moved to Florida after marring in Michigan.He enlisted in the Marine Corp. in March, 1945 and mustered out in August 1946. He was a business man and owned and operated a Pizza restaurant in Lehigh Acres. Jim was previously married and leaves behind a daughter, Aurelia, as well as his loving wife Bert.
